Almost 6 years on and I was back in Herstmonceux to finally visit the Brewers Arms. It has a nicely-decorated interior. Locals were crowded around the bar, on which were what appeared to be complimentary cherries - a nice and unusual touch. There were only a couple of other drinkers away from the bar inside. But, there is also a garden area adjacent to the car park at the rear. There were only a couple of ales - Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter & Pig & Porter Light As A Leaf. Fairly ordinary pub in a nice village.

This pub is now closed. Looks a nice place. But there were signs around stating that it was now under Greene King's ownership. I'm not a great fan of Greene King. But hopefully it will re-open soon. We continued onto Bexhill-on-Sea in search of alternative refreshments in the Albatross Club (not listed on here).

Called back after a years gone by, NO BEER and NO FOOD wont be back next year.

Stunning from start to finish! We can't fault this amazing 17th century inn, newly taken over by the lovely Gaynor & Alan.
Warm, inviting, tastefully decorated, comfortable seating, gorgeous home cooked menu & FIVE constantly changing real ales!!
Want to feel welcome, have a nice drink & some food then look NO FURTHER! The Brewers Arms in Herstmonceux has stepped it up a notch!.
Go have a look yourself, if you don't believe us!

Friendly staff with a good beer range cant say as much for the food.

Found this pub whilst on holiday last week. Just been taken over by a lovely lady called Gaynor who made us and our dog very welcome. The beer and the wine were both very good. We didn't eat there but the food that we saw looked great. Good luck with the Brewers Arms.

A really nice pub. Nice atmosphere, friendly locals and staff. I was working so couldn't try the beer but the lemonade was reasonably priced.

Small fiendly local pub owned by Green King, but run as a tenancy. Always at least 3 well kept ales.
Good food available, which could detract from the beer drinking ambience, but generally doesn't.
Live jazz every Tuesday makes for an entertaining night.
