I go for the comedy nights which are always good but it is a bit on the expensive side. Probably wouldn't go in just for a drink but if there's something on it's well worth a visit.

The Steam Passage, Islington

The beer was ok but I could only manage one as I was concerned I may go deaf. First table I sat at was so sticky and dirty I had to go and wash my hands. Apart from that not much else to set it apart from every other pub.

The Jenny Lind, Hastings

Spent a pleasant Saturday evening in here. The staff were friendly if slightly ditzy but I'd go again. Not sure of the decor, board games and a road atlas in the book shelf. The answer is to not analyse and just enjoy being in a pub in Hastings where you stand a good chance of getting out alive.
