good service, amazing beer sleection (if you are a fan of badger beers), and wonderfull building in a beautifull little village. The restaurant area is something to behold aswell, wonderfull wood beamed barn. well worth the walk for a sunday afternoon there.

Hall & woodhouse pub so quite foodie as you would expect and badger beers as it was xmas period I had a tanglefoot which was pretty good. overall a reasonable venue

With a bit of fine tuning this pub could be fantastic, A good selection of ales albeit 3 from the Badgers range + Tangle foot. The Badgers Badger was well kept, the Badgers Firkin Fox was delicious both of which went perfectly with the live band playing whilst i visited yesterday. My only concerns and they are minor, is the tall fella behind the bar who i guess is the landlord could really do with smartening himself up a bit, and the young barmaid with all the make up constantly asking "are you waiting". & "are you being served". There's being attentive and there's being annoying ! On the whole though, a good solid 7 from me.

OAP menu six days a week is good value if one is not hungry. Otherwise adding a somewhat expensive dessert results in a bill that is just about into the gastro level and not really justified by the quality. Nevertheless overall a pleasant pub which has a proper expresso maker.

The Badger Picked Partridge was delicious- pity its not available year round. Didn't try the food which looked pricey (but lots cheaper for pensioners on Mondays!). The Sussex bitter was in good condition, but must an acquired taste (not ours)

further to my review of two years ago, I must say this place has deteriorated,. its now the haunt of beer bellied leerin blokes in the bar.. and the restaurant has got dearer by the month. the used to have a free folk music night on monday, til they started charging a fiver per head to get in/ its sarratt people"!! not a big town. and your food prices are OTT. sausage and chips should cost 5 or 6 quid. not ten. and a plate of chips at nearly four quid??? and four quid for twoX coffee??

Very nice Olde Worlde type country pub. Great setting, good staff, good food menu and Badger beers. Not bad eh? The food was very good, but a little on the expensive side. Food is served in the main bar area and they have a small restaurant too. Besides the Badger, King and Barnes Sussex Ale (now brewed by Hepworth?) also on the pumps. Very nice light ale, kept in excellent condition and a sample offered without asking. We will be back.

this pub is a lovely old building full of atmosphere , readily served me a tea!!!!(dont drink due to allergy) and were friendly to my dog, regulars were not menacing, and no one bothered us at all . would recommend to anyone of any age (apart from yobbos perhaps...lets keep it nice eh)

Excellent food and Badger beers in excellent nick. Noticed they had other ales but didn't get chance to try them. Outside seating, though currently some area taped off for some reason (flooding?).

Lovely spot for a Sunday lunch, loads of footpaths to walk on nearby. Have had good live music on Sunday afternoons recently. Friendly staff, will be back again.

Very very nice pub. A good spot in the country and in the middle of a lot of places to walk. Dog friendly, friendly bar staff, nice pint of Badger and good food - the roast and the scampi were very generous. Relaxing atmosphere - will be coming back!

Hall & Woodhouse pub in a pleasant rural setting. Good selection of Badger Ales. Nice interior with an area for large groups. I've no experience of the food.
