The front bar has received a re-fit.. gone is the dark wood, replaced by a lighter green/cream nautical colour scheme favoured by pubs in coastal locations... Beer and food still good though...

Still a lovely pub. Nothing to add really. HSD, Tribute and Best, along with Rattler cider. Check out the gin collection...

Still as good in 2015... When we arrived on Sat 23rd May they had a maypole and were crowing the May queen - What a fantastic place to watch this ancient ceremony. Beers were St. Austell Cornish Bitter, HSD & Tribute, with Kerov lager and Healy's Rattler cider. Food and drink is on the more expensive side, but it's just so nice to escape the Mousehole crowds...

I stayed for a week with my family in Trungle cottage, 2 minutes or so from The Kings Arms, so frequented this pub a few times over the course of the week... It is a St.Austell brewery house, and was serving Dartmoor Best, Tribute and HSD, along with Apple and Pear Rattler and Korev Lager. Pub is split across two main rooms, both have bar areas, and both have dining, however children are only allowed in the room across from the church. Overall I would recommend this pub; It gets a mixture of locals and holidaymakers, a lot who walk up from Mousehole which is only 10 minutes or so walk down a steep hill. Strangely, Mousehole only has the one pub, The Ship inn, but feels like it should have more... Beer was good, food also good and both moderately priced. Check out the Dolly Pentreath monument in Paul churchyard, and also listen out for the Mousehole male voice choir who practise in the church monday evenings. If you sit out on the front you can take all this in with a nice pint of Tribute!

I was recommended this pub by some friends who visited there last year. The pub looks from the outside looks what every traditional village pub should look like, and the inside is very cosy. My friends recommended the homemade curry which I found to be very good for a pub curry. The beer was excellent especially the HSD. I would recommend this pub as I found the staff courteous and helpful even to the point that because we have a dog, we normally sit outside in the garden but they said we could come inside and eat with the dog, providing he was well behaved which he is. Food prices run off the mill, not the cheapest but definately not the dearest compared to surban London/Kent. Beer excellent, people friendly, food good, what more could you want.

Well signposted from the main Penzance to Portcurno road, this pleasant stone built small village pub has a sedate but friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The spacious carpeted lounge bar has low ceilings, open fire, exposed stone walls and several heraldic shields surrounding the bar. To the rear is a more basic public bar with bare partly flagstoned floors and a darts area. Ales come from the St Austell range with decent quality Tribute, Tinners and Proper Job at reasonable prices. The food menu appeared to be on the expensive side but as most people (including us) were there for their popular but challenging Sunday quiz, I didnt see anyone eating. Locals were friendly and quick to chat to us when they realised we were outsiders. The place would probably appeals more to the mature end of the market than to the younger upstarts. Note - the owners also run the Yacht in Penzance and the Logan Rock Inn.

I find it very difficult to rate this pub. It is a nice village inn, selling the excellent HSD beer. However, on the two occasions I have been there for a meal the food has been somewhat disappointing, verging on terrible. On the last occasion the food tasted very much as though it had come out of tins/packets and a member of the party I was with was unwell the following day. Of course we cannot be sure that what they ate at the Kings Arms caused the problem but it has sadly made up our minds not to visit the pub again.
