please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Back open again (2024). Saw Trojan beats in here last week. Nice gig!

The older lot of the crowd all pretty much knew each other, felt like a secondary school reunion. Was a good time, the younger lot did get a bit rowdy towards the end but that's expected when you mix Feltham and alcohol

Not sure what it's like during a non gig evening. Hoping it stays open this time around

Will visit again soon

Up and running again! March 2023, lovely food, good beer, good pricers!

Seems to have closed for about a year - but reopened autumn 2019.

Feltham has seen a lot of pubs going under.

Belated update: The Airman re-opened December 2019 and has a new Italian manager who has started small with authentic Italian pizzas and pastas which are proving popular and getting good reviews. A real ale is on too: Fillers Pride on tap. A welcome revival of a well managed pub. Sppread the word. Use it or lose!

Sadly The Airman has CLOSED. It has hung on and is was a survivor under Greene King (serving real ale) until December 2018 when it suddenly closed its doors. Another Feltham pub bites the dust. Rating irrelevant.

Ok, check this out:
10 years ago me and my cashier Lakshma went to this pub (weused to work for Ladbroks at the time), and we cahed 300 quid from the fruit machine there.
Thats why I will love this pub FOREVER!!!
Cheers to The Airman - Steve Mansell - The Fella'!!

This is one of the last few surviving pubs in Feltham serving its locals, and which does still have one real ale on tap, Greene King IPA.

2014, not drank in this pub before simply because everyone knows it as a drug pub. Since the new landlord came in (who regulars don't like...AND I CAN SEE WHY....He is not a drug man) He has 'cleaned up' the place got rid of the 'Dealers' and tried his hardest to make it a Pub worth having a pint in....It is, The place has good bands at weekends a new menu and a pretty good selection of drinks...minus the 'Wallys' as commented before... This is a good pub now. 8/10

A new pub company has taken on the Airman & it has had some time etc spent on it. The new manager has thrown the Giro elite out and its become a good music pub again. There are still the odd wallys but for the most part it is a nice place to eat and listen to music without having to watch over your shoulder all the time. The mega breakfast is just fantastic & great value for money along with the very good priced beer. Defo use it more.

There's nowt so queer as a pub with no beer

Too many pubs are closing. Where will folks go to be social with their local brethren is we knock struggling pubs into the ground. I pass this pub frequently and at least it shows some signs of hope now with smart new "The Airman" pub signs up. Keep our locals.

The Airman is looking smart again with new "The Airman" signs (in blue) on each side.
mim - 18 Jul 2009 20:24
All the letters have finally dropped off. However I have noticed a painted sign by the garden entrance Hanworth Road side!! At least 'they' won't be able to get those letters off.... unless they take the whole sign down.... ?

A truly awful Pub Better its pulled down than left to Rot.

It's one claim to fame it was the training Camp for Freddy Mills prior to his winning British Light heavyweight title in the 40s

thePubGhost - 4 Jan 2009 23:57
This pub is currently signed up at the front as "The --RM--". Taking bets on the final surviving letter. Is this landmark pub one of the next of 5-a-week to close down to make way for lo-cost flats?
mim - 13 Sep 2008 12:50
Sorry, keep their signage in good repair.
threeravensmoor - 5 Jul 2008 10:45
Why would you go into a boozer run by folk as can not even be bothered to keep there sinage in good repair....
threeravensmoor - 5 Jul 2008 10:44
Not a bad place to go watch the football, cheap food that tastes ok, took about three years before anyone spoke to us though!

Nice little garden + slide for kiddie as does get very smokey in there, not for long though!
bobthebinger - 25 Mar 2007 17:28
this place is a little bit out the way of the high street passing trade. so its abit locals dominated.

if your just into a couple of pints or watching a bit of sport this pub is ok. but go into the airman looking for a fight and boy you'll find one. simple

5/10
TheAreaManager - 2 Dec 2006 15:13
It can't be that bad here.. 'Laid back Ron' used to frequent this pub!! TJ
TeeJay - 1 Aug 2006 01:02
Iknow people who were the victims of a racist attack for just being in this pub. Avoid.

I tried this pub out on Sunday, the crowd was rough, the amount of smoke was disgusting and you couldn't get near to the bar cause of people sitting by it. Shame, as I only live down the road.
anonymous - 12 Apr 2005 16:20
stay well away if you know what i mean its the roughest pub in feltham by far.
anonymous - 24 Feb 2005 12:20
Quite a "local" pub, big for your watching sport type of thing.

Popular, only due to the total lack of competition.
