Another decent Peel pub. As with all of the others, there were a few eccentric characters. The one bar is a comfortable lounge/restaurant which is quite traditional in style. There are paintings, engraved glass and carvings. The second bar is more of a games/music room where many of the young locals hang out. Staff were plentiful and also fairly young. I'm not sure if this is a Marstons pub, as most of the beers were from the Marstons range plus a couple of locals - Ringwood Old Thumper, Jennings Sneck Lifter, Wychwood Bountiful & Hobgoblin, Bushys Silverd Ale, Okells Bitter & Sweet Chariot & Marstons Pedigree. There was also a real perry - Westons Country Perry on handpull. I quite enjoyed this pub. Although it did get a little less comfortable as it gradually filled up and I have to say that the meal I had was quite bland. But these were my only small criticisms of what is a good harbourside pub.

Stayed at the Peel campsite with the kids and visited this pub twice, as it was ideal for eating out with the family, 8 real ales on hand pump, half of which had changed our second visit, and only a 10 minute walk back to the tent. Food was good, served quickly, not too pricey, you need to get there early for food at busy times or book a table in advance. The pub has an outside seating area at the front in.a lovely location looking onto the harbour.

There seem to be two distinct areas in this old pub - the front bar which has a quaint fishing town pub decor and a room to the rear left which could be described as a sports bar with telly and games. It obviously does a roaring trade in food which means if you are a drinker but prefer the front bar you may have difficulty finding a pew during food serving times which is most of the day apparently. We did eat there and whilst it was enjoyable, thought it was a bit overpriced. The staff were mostly young people some of whom could do with a talk on customer service and reasons for paying particular attention to how they should serve the extensive range of well kept beers.

Best pub on the Island

Called in while doing a crawl round he island, and enjoyed Okells Rory's Ale, brewed for a new baby I believe, and also Ringwood Boondoggle. Lovely situation on the quayside and not too far from the bus terminus. Seating outside.

I had a very happy visit here yesterday. Some nice beers both from Mann, and from England, and some great sea food too. The food isn't cheap, but nor would I say it was over priced. The place had plenty of hussle and bussle, lending it a nice atmosphere, as it was obviously being frequented by both locals and tourists. I look forward to visiting again and trying the Manx Queenies.

I visited the Creek, my old local, last week expecting the fantastic food, beer and service I knew and loved but was alas dissapointed. It was not a bad experience but neither was it great, the waiting staff had less charm and intelligence than the kippers. I hear Robert is now at the Victoria Tavern though and wish him well.

First time for years in this place a couple of weeks ago - great to see steak being on the menu and the fish pie was the best - went on recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed - will definately be going back

"WANDERED"INTO THIS PUB AFTER VISTING LOCAL KIPPER SHOP AND FOUND IT VERY DIFFICULT TO LEAVE!!.ALTHOUGH ONLY STAYED FOR SHORT TIME AND NEVER HAD CHANCE TO SAMPLE THE XCELLENT MENU,FOUND THE STAFF AND PUNTERS VERY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING.WILL MAKE A SPECIAL EFFORT TO RETURN ONE DAY AND HAVE A PROPER DRINK!

Apart from being my favourite, the Creek permits mixed parties of drinkers only and eaters (unlike the comment I just read at the Marine). Thus a great place for a gang to meet if not all hungry. I just love the Creek.

Sorry to hear that Robert no longer around. He was always pleasant and very helpful. Also sorry to hear that he and Jean no longer together but they will know why and what's best. Yes, I knew he was not in the kitchen and, as long as the Queenies remain unchanged :-)

Keith, Robert retired in May 04 and his ex wife Jean McAleer is now back in control, thats why the food was wonderful its nothing to do with Robert just the hard work and dedication by Jean, Claire, Katie, Rob and Christine to put the place back into shape.
