The low mark must be historic as this is a proper pub as well as being a Mecca for real ale drinkers. Limited choice of drinks for non ale fans but other than that a must visit place.

Absolutely splendid! Best pub by far in Huntingdon. Vast range of real ales at incredibly low prices. Friendly locals and staff. A must if visiting this town.

Dreamland - 15 ales/10 ciders/21 English wines/6 meads + craft lagers...what's not to like? Many of the ales are from local breweries and the cheapest served up is Potbelly Best (Kettering) at £2 pint. Apparently this pub had been closed for 6 years and re-opened December 2014 - no music is played (generally) and there are no slot machines - the landlord and staff are very friendly and so are the locals - the only pub in Huntingdon worth considering if you are into ale...keep up the good work 9/10 (I never give a 10).

Re-opened just before Christmas 2014. 15, yes 15 real ales on tap - most from Northants with 5 from the Marstons stable. Owner has a couple of similar pubs in Northants. No food as yet but is planned in the not to distant future. Quiet on weekday eves but busy weekends. No music or pub games (darts etc) just a place to have a drink. Most beers between £2.75 and £3.20. Up to 10 ciders served from the barrel and with only one lager on sale this is the pub to visit in Huntingdon if you like your beer.

Pity about this pub, had character and had potential if run properly. But sadly a succession of bad managers ran the pub out of business. Last I heard there was a campaign and a petition to try and get the pub reopened.

CLOSED Now !!
Shame given its history, but not a shame given it had been going down hill steadily the last 15 years. Much like Huntingdon town centre sadly : (
If you find yrself on Huntingdon High Street on a Friday or Saturday evening .. first ask yourself why ? ...then run !!

Popped in for a quick pint when I had an hour to kill between journeys. Lots of character, (see pics) nice courtyard area and inside too.
One ale on (TT Landlord) in fair condition. Not sure about one or two of the punters, bit chavvy for my liking but it was market day.
Worth seeking out for the heritage factor on a sunny afternoon.

Went in once in the 60's to use the toilets. Good soap and nice floral scent.

Frequented this pub in the late 70s. Was a very enjoyable place to visit.
Used to buy bags of crisps to give to the dog.

Looks nice from the ourside - nice and historical (it's where Cromwell used to recruit his roundheads). Has potential, but usual Huntingdon meathead clientelle spolit it.
My wife was once racially abused from one of the locals as we walked into the courtyard. Gives you an idea of the kind of intelligent people who frequent it.
