Huntingdon High Street is a sorry place these days. When the most interesting shop is WH Smiths, and the only decent/safe place to get a drink is one of the 2 town hotels ..... you know things have gone badly wrong for a town.
Whoever allowed Sainsburys to be dropped into the middle of town with absolutely no thought to planning/design/appearance/impact should be shot. They may as well have carpet bombed the place.
A shocking shocking example of how not to 'develop' your town .

CLOSED Now !!
Shame given its history, but not a shame given it had been going down hill steadily the last 15 years. Much like Huntingdon town centre sadly : (
If you find yrself on Huntingdon High Street on a Friday or Saturday evening .. first ask yourself why ? ...then run !!

The Stanley Arms, Portslade
Quite simply the finest pub in the area. Great selection of well kept ales, always changing. Friendly staff.
Old school, back street pub ! Brilliant.
How we love The Stanley.
