The low mark must be historic as this is a proper pub as well as being a Mecca for real ale drinkers. Limited choice of drinks for non ale fans but other than that a must visit place. hollybush33 - 14 Oct 2018 16:51 |
Absolutely splendid! Best pub by far in Huntingdon. Vast range of real ales at incredibly low prices. Friendly locals and staff. A must if visiting this town. Aztecgoat - 2 Apr 2017 09:57 |
Dreamland - 15 ales/10 ciders/21 English wines/6 meads + craft lagers...what's not to like? Many of the ales are from local breweries and the cheapest served up is Potbelly Best (Kettering) at £2 pint. Apparently this pub had been closed for 6 years and re-opened December 2014 - no music is played (generally) and there are no slot machines - the landlord and staff are very friendly and so are the locals - the only pub in Huntingdon worth considering if you are into ale...keep up the good work 9/10 (I never give a 10). kernott1 - 11 Apr 2015 06:53 |
Re-opened just before Christmas 2014. 15, yes 15 real ales on tap - most from Northants with 5 from the Marstons stable. Owner has a couple of similar pubs in Northants. No food as yet but is planned in the not to distant future. Quiet on weekday eves but busy weekends. No music or pub games (darts etc) just a place to have a drink. Most beers between £2.75 and £3.20. Up to 10 ciders served from the barrel and with only one lager on sale this is the pub to visit in Huntingdon if you like your beer. boforbill - 17 Feb 2015 20:08 |
Pity about this pub, had character and had potential if run properly. But sadly a succession of bad managers ran the pub out of business. Last I heard there was a campaign and a petition to try and get the pub reopened. KPS - 16 Sep 2011 21:28 |
