Yes, was closed for a while and has reopened as World's Inn (or End). I went there the other Monday night with some friends. We are all -er- mature. It was quite busy and had a good buzz about the place. Service was good. We had the steak and kidney pud. for 3.99 and a few pints of real ale - Stairway to Heaven, Ruddles - at 1.38 a pint. I was impressed. Different to the Moon and Stars in that I didn't see the usual 'care in the community' types you usually get in Weatherspoon pubs nursing a pint all night. I would recommend the place, although I believe that it is turned over to 'Yoof' at the weekend.

Oh yes, a change of name of course. It's called the World's Inn.

Reopened during 2009 as a Wetherspoon (a few doors away from the Moon & Stars), but this one is a Lloyds No 1. Went in there on a quiet weeknight, it was busy enough and safe with the usual Wetherspoon virtues.

always overpriced overcrowded and horriffic. not suprised that it shut down.
Still closed and a To let sign is above the door.
I remember when it was open there was only a few people inside. The small crowd was immature boys who can't handle their drinks.
Been closed for a few months now. No 'to let' boards or signs of refurbishment so who knows what will happen here. Nobody misses "The Place" anyway!

I have been in to Bar Me during the day and have never seen more than a handful of customers in there. On occasion there has been literally just the barmaid and myself. Odd, as Edwards nextdoor usually does a roaring trade at Lunchtimes and the set up/food/beer is pretty similar. Perhaps it's the daft name that puts people off.

why anyone in their right mind would want to go out in romford is beyond me. if you've never visited the place, save yourself time and money by going straight to your local A+E and waiting there for the night.
life's short enough.

Stange place - lots of screens for the football, but strangely empty.
This is now called The Place, although still no better than before
erm...you could go here I guess, but might be preferable to find five big lads to give you a kicking instead, probably more enjoyable....
This pub is not bad for music but is usually empty.
typical romford club avin it big styles
Oh dear....
This is now called Bar:Me. Do not go there. Unless you are 15.
