| Yes, was closed for a while and has reopened as World's Inn (or End). I went there the other Monday night with some friends. We are all -er- mature. It was quite busy and had a good buzz about the place. Service was good. We had the steak and kidney pud. for �3.99 and a few pints of real ale - Stairway to Heaven, Ruddles - at �1.38 a pint. I was impressed. Different to the Moon and Stars in that I didn't see the usual 'care in the community' types you usually get in Weatherspoon pubs nursing a pint all night. | Reopened during 2009 as a Wetherspoon (a few doors away from the Moon & Stars), but this one is a Lloyds No 1. Went in there on a quiet weeknight, it was busy enough and safe with the usual Wetherspoon virtues. paul7301 - 25 Oct 2009 19:57 |
