The Lamb Inn, Great Rissington

Came here for lunch with my parents who live nearby-ish. The roast really was delicious but I have to say the puddings really let the lunch down. Not one was homemade and all tasted synthetic. It is such a lovely pub with lovely ales it coudl just go up a notch by having better puddings!

The Treehouse, Croydon

This is just the sort of place that I want to go and eat and have a good catch up with an old friend. It is so pretty inside....fairy lights on the ceiling and dark wood everywhere so very atmospheric. The food was delicious. I tried something that I have never had before Kudu Hounchi (not sure if it is spelt correctly but it was the meat from a Kenyan Deer and was so beautifully cooked) and for pudding I had amazing chocolate fondant.
As it was a Tuesday, the restaurant was quite empty but it did not matter, the staff were helpful, polite and attentive.
A real gem in Croydon which I thoroughly reccomend, especially if you are looking for a possible venue to go for a more informal date?!

The Hurlingham, Fulham

Went here last night for the fist time since the refurb, it looks good but was not impressed by their menu one bit. Was planning to eat there but there was nothing on the menu that appealed to any of us. Good simple food is what is required by a pub such as this one. I miss the Pub-Quiz that it used to have too, it was really fun. Despite what has just been said, friendly staff which is alway nice.

The Arbiter, Fulham

I wanted to find somewhere new, different and near home to meet my Fulhamite friends after work so looked on this webiste to find somewhere and after reading the reviews, I thought that I would check The Arbiter out. The North End Road itself is a bit grotty but this pub stands out amoungst the grime. Large windows allow lots of light into the pub. There is comfy seating: sofas, corner seating and wooden chairs. The decor is attractive, the staff helpful and the Swedish Tapas menu is very tempting and very well priced. (Cheese on toast with homemade chutney - 2.00, Smoked Salmon Gravlax - 3.50, Meatballs with Mustard Mash - 6.50) The Arbiter is the perfect place relaxing place for a quiet drink after work and if you are looking for somewhere more lively, it hots up after about 8.30. There is a really good atmosphere. Try it, you will like it!
