And so a few short months after the brewery handed the pub over to a decent manager (Geoff) they sell it out from under him for a mess of pottage, for redevelopment. Geoff and his team, lead by Fraulein Olga have worked hard and professionally and rewarded with the boot. Tonight, March 21st, was the last night, and they have gone out with charm and dignity. Best of luck to all of them - here's to the next life. Sandman says shame on the brewery...

Popped in for a pint prior to a match at nearby Stamford bridge, wish we hadn't bothered. Some kind of kids table tennis tournament was occupying the bar staff, so eventually the chef came and provided us with two pints of criminally expensive lager. Will not go back.

After a lovely walk along the river we came across this pub The Hurlingham on the north side of Wandsworth Bridge.
We ordered the Sunday roast beef. The food was awful the Meat was one thin slice that looked like it came from a tin, the baked potatoes was burnt as was the yorkshire pudding.
the whole meal was un eatable,
We complained and asked for a refund that was given, We must have walked past about six pubs along the river and we made the mistake of walking in this one.

Visiting the Hurlingham for the first time since its Funky Pink repaint I was pleasantly unsurprised to find that the Pub is better than ever. It does look after the toffs but still has a few locals at the bar talking through their day and ladies who lunch, having lunch!
This really is a great pub and I know of no other like it in Fulham, possibly South West London!

You must visit this pub, have dinner if you can, its also great.

The Hurlingham. Sounds a bit toffee, in reality 'is' a bit toffee but it's good, really it's alright. Look, this area has sloanes in it and to an extent this pub has to cater for those guests but it hasn't made the same mistakes alot of pubs in this area have made. Namely massively high costs, dodgy drinks and pretentious staff. The bar staff are friendly (but on my visit clearly confused by the TV), the drinks are great (ale on draft and bottled), the food is good and the interior is smart. Nice place to take the missus, or have a swift one with a mate. I'm giving it a 7 and will be back.

Thumbs Up, London Calling.
