The Valiant Sailor, Capel Le Ferne

Nice freindly staff at this pub. I asked if I could park my bike whilst we went for a walk after which we would have a drink, and the barmaid said it wouldn't be a problem and even offered to store our helmets behind the bar whilst we walked. Nice drop of Masterbrew too. Would visit again.

The Mundy Bois, Pluckley

Great little pub with history, character and a a lovely garden. Loos are clean and the food is superb. Worth a visiton a sunny afternoon or a winter evening when there is a fire lit.

The Sun, Richmond

Good honest traditional pub with bags of character. Fullers ales are well kept and not a rip off. My choice for after work drinks in Richmond and a must for rugby fans or those on a Richmond crawl.

The Marlborough, Kingston Upon Thames

Great to see it open again (new name is the Fairfield Tavern). Good place to go and read the paper or chat with friends over a decent real ale.

The Red Lion, Isleworth

Outstanding! One of my favourite pubs of all time. Friendly staff and locals, unrivalled selection of real ales at respectful prices and the best quiz in the area on Thursday nights- they even gve out free sandwiches. What more could anyone want?

The Bavarian Beerhouse, Shoreditch

Didn't quite live up to the hype. Given it was billed as an Oktoberfest I was expecting some german oompah music, not crappy europop sung by some bint you could hardly hear. Call me an 'undesirable', but a beerhouse should be one large hall, not a series of stuffy, small rooms with insufficient 'lebensraum' between the tables, so that when you went to the loo, you had to climb along other people's tables. Prices were not bad considering it is a theme pub in the city and service was OK, but if they had any fewer staff it would have been desperate.

The New Inn, Shalfleet

Great pub with an excellent garden. Worth a visit.

The Sportsmans Rest, Porchfield

Not good. We turned up on a hot Friday afternoon in the middle of summer, the landlord and his wife could see us locking up our bikes and getting our wallets out and said nothing until I found the door locked when he rather brusquely told us that he was closed. The two of them were just sitting there doing nothing! Places like this deserve to go out of business.

The Anglers, Teddington

Utterly, utterly useless. How can an establishment that is supposed to be making money from flogging booze n burgers to punters run out of food and beer and still be around? Are they selling something else 'behind the bar' to bankroll this incompetence. Went there on Sunday and they had run out of most beers and practically all food. Avoid the acidic staff as well.
