The Village Inn, Moseley

was a good pub. now has all the dros. Beware read the veer small parking signs, no ticket on the windscreen just a £60.00 bill in the post.
I found it a bit dodgy, any change of ownership would be good.

The Station, Kings Heath

Has recently been taken over by same crowd that run the Sun on the hill in Bennets Hill Birmingham Centre.
Staff & management do not appear to have a clue. Put beer up 5p as soon as they moved in. (cask bitter £3.20 a pt) Tables dirty, glasses left uncollected & staff eating food behind the counter.
The previous manager had worked hard to make it a pleasant place to visit but this management not running it as a local but the same as a town pub with the don’t care attitude.

The New Billesley, Kings Heath

Closed at the moment for refurbishment into a Hungry Horse. This pub has had so many changes in the years, & none of them has been successful.

The Brown Lion, Birmingham

Now open. Visited today, a lot more commutable than it used to be. The
music was good (Matt Munro, Dean Martin) the new owner appears to be trying
to make a go of it. He has comedy clubs & entertainment booked throughout
the week. They have bitter on but sadly not when I visited, I was told they
had sold out but would be delivered the following day. I wish the owner
well with this venture in a pub that deserves to do well considering its
location.

Rose Villa Tavern, Birmingham

I have to agree with the previous posts that its one of those trendy places to be seen. Bar staff tend to ignore you if your not in the part of the in crowd. On saying that the place is new & a novelty, Every pub has its day the crowd will move on, the time consuming cocktails will stop & the staff will learn. to acknowledge & serve the punters.
The trad beers are well kept & they serve a novel idea called a trio. This is three glasses the equivalent of a pint in price & size. Each one has a different bitter so you can sample. The best time to visit is early doors (16:00 18:00)

The Brown Lion, Birmingham

I work not far from this pub & in recent years seen some changes that have not been so good. The pub at the moment is a bit sparce & more like a cafe, Hopefully this may change as it becomes more established. However it is a outlet for the Twon Towers beer. I found myself on Saturday whilst shoping in the City Centre bypassing other pubs to have a few pints of the Chamberlain Pale Ale.This area of Brum is fantastic for real ales.

The Red Lion, Birmingham

Went there for Xmas dinner last year, going again this year + we are going on another two occasions to the Xmas fair lunch so we can sample the whole menu. Excellent food need I say anymore. Great beer garden in the summer & roaring log fire in winter very comfortable.

The Crown Inn, Alvechurch

Went there for the first time 08/11/10. Had a very nice pub lunch & a pint of tribute. Staff was charming. I cant believe I only live a few miles away & did not know about this place. I will certainly be going back. beautiful location & adequate parking.

The Coach and Horses, Weatheroak Hill

Went there on Sunday 7th November, I like the beer there but ended up walking out. Staff only serve locals & do not look who is waiting. First of all whilst I am standing at the bar a local jumps in front & orders a large round. Then the other barnan stops serving & decides to do some paperwork then turns round & serves his mate. Decent pub but if your not a local beware.
