This pub is now called the Sun at the Station and was far better than I expected. The drinking environment is nice enough and popular with a fairly young crowd. Ales were Purity Mad Goose, Sharps Doom Bar & Enville Ale. They also appear to have St Austell Tribute on normally. But this was off on our visit.

Up for sale now - the refurb, management and staff/bouncers have ruined another pub. I'm sure Punch Taverns are proud of themselves!!!

went last night with a group of friends what a disappointment..first off the carling was awful it tasted almost metallic the lighting leaves a lot to be desired i know its supposed to add to the ambiance but when i had to use the light on my phone to read the food menu was slightly taking the pee...the crowd in there were very loud a lot of shouting going on this was made worse by music being put on then the crowds then shouted even more...the food was excellent and good value for the money but this will not be a pub i shall return to in a hurry which is a shame as i used to drink in there every weekend in the late 90s early 2000s when it was run by bill

We have just spent the evening at the station. It was pleasant enough until the end, when the two "bouncers" told everyone to leave, being unnecessarily brutish, making us all (I counted 12) stand outside in the rain waiting for our taxis. The last elderly gentleman to leave was literally shoved out of the door so they could lock it and go home. As they left they high fived each other! Why you feel the need to have bouncers at a local pub is beyond me. After drinking there for a number of years, we will not be returning.

Has recently been taken over by same crowd that run the Sun on the hill in Bennets Hill Birmingham Centre.
Staff & management do not appear to have a clue. Put beer up 5p as soon as they moved in. (cask bitter £3.20 a pt) Tables dirty, glasses left uncollected & staff eating food behind the counter.
The previous manager had worked hard to make it a pleasant place to visit but this management not running it as a local but the same as a town pub with the don’t care attitude.
