| Been in since the makeover - you wouldn't know. This is a good pub with nice food and beer but we left due to the clientele - noisy chavs out for a "posh nosh" who couldn't even use a knife and fork properly. It put me right off my pint having to sit next to them. I know some would say who cares but when did the British become so common? | Nice comfortable pub with oak panelling and friendly bar staff. Usually 3 real ales on (2 at �3.15 but the guest ale is �3.50!!! on occasions). Food is variable. Had a cracking Lancashire hotpot and the Hunter's Chicken was very nice too. However more recently both my wife and I tried the 8oz burger which was very dry and heavy going. | Went there for Xmas dinner last year, going again this year + we are going on another two occasions to the Xmas fair lunch so we can sample the whole menu. Excellent food need I say anymore.
