user reviews of the Terrace Bar, Leeds University Union

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

good in the summer, all spaced out with big off patio for drinking, heated too. very cool. In the winter its jam packed and very little seating when you actually consider the amount of people that frequent this place. Not bad for a union though.

still cant decide about this place! during the day its good but there are NOT enough seats! drinks are reasonable and its fun to get hammered here inbetween lectures. however - it aint great at night and they love holding political counting things here so beware!

Modern, spacious, well-decorated and the killer - a large outdoor seated area for long, lazy summer afternoons getting rat-arsed.

The Terrace Bar is the long, long, long awaited second bar for LUU, and it's turned out pretty well!

There are entrances from the main Union building and the Refectory, leading into the large, airy, white-with-a-hint-of-neon bar. Seating is a mixture of comfy chairs and sofas, wooden chairs & tables, and high chairs. While the bar itself is not huge, but a decent size, but does lack any of the real ales of the Old Bar downstairs (although it's only a short trip to grab one and nip upstairs).

A big bonus that the Terrace bar has over the Old Bar in summer is that it does actually have a outdoor terrace, through the huge conservatory-style doors. Very nice for an outdoor pint.
