The previous interlocutor from a decade ago bemoaned the lack of real ales, a problem that has been right royally revolved with an excellent choice of four from various Yorkshire breweries. The beers tend to be craft rather than cask but were in good condition including a session IPA. I had an excellent Ploughman's board while the decking remains a great place to drink in the sunshine. Only quibble is slightly soulless, modernised d├ęcor but it's a great option when visiting Leeds University

There is a spacious outdoor decking area here, which is handy on a sunny day, but this pub fails the most important test for a pub...there are no real ales available.
Hence I won't be hurrying back.

`When I was a lad`.....this was actually a one room hotel....although full of goths! it looks like you should pay a cupla quid for a laser gun as you go in & just shoot the baddies as they appear from the partitions.....ORISITJUSTME...Probably!

used to be amazing on a friday despite the fact that the dj was a knob! but when it reopened fridays were never the same again! we liked it BECAUSE it was studenty and cheesy and it was the only decent late night cheap place at the weekend - but theyve ruined it! wastrels! my rating is for what it was ... sob!

The faversham has recently been sold and is undergoing refurbishment. It's looking quite promising at the minute. It looks so much brighter and the new beers are damn good. There are two new pool tables, pinball and one of those tabletop donkeykong machines. The soound system looks to be getting a long overdue overhaul and the food is looking up too. Word on the street is that the guys fmro the HIFI have bought the place. Dont know if thats true but if it is then im sure good things are to come! - 10 Feb 2004 20:00
