Beer festival this week, good selection of both light and dark beers - well worth a visit.

My son went to Uni here and I got to know the Old Bar well - I still visit when in Leeds. 6 hand pumps usually on - mainly local Leeds ales and Blacksheep but often others all in good condition, there are 2 + 2 other handpumps but hardly ever used. The staff are mainly students and are very efficient, well worth a visit if you have contacts in the Uni.

Been at Leeds Uni for a year now and have been very impressed with The Old Bar. During term time 6 Cask Ales are available and occasionally one or two real ciders. Three beers from Black Sheep (Best Bitter, Ale and Rigwelter) and three from local(ish) micros. All well priced - about 2.35 a pint if I remember correctly. Open till late everyday - well after midnight over the weekend. Atmosphere is certainly vibrant - as you would expect with all the students. The best student pub in leeds by far!!!

I loved this pub, reminded me of being at home!!! looks like an old fashioned establishment but full of young people, with a handy chippy in the corner, how could you go wrong?
