Mediocre town centre pub, with little to offer. Low calibre staff and average beer and food.

I'm quite fond of Eastbourne as it reminds me of some seaside towns in Australia; minus the sunburn, surf, sand & sharks. A few good pubs too, and although this one is not really top notch it does its job well. Similar to a Wetherspoon's, as someone has previously noted, I usually eat here rather than the nearby Cornfield Garage (or whatever its called this week) because the clientele are just a tad older & quieter. I had a couple of pints of Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter (2.95) and a decent meal served quickly; I got what I came for.

M & B managed house, Keen, cheery & helpful staff with well priced food & drink.
Recommended, but NOT for Saturday night as it is VERY loud, with odd non-radio 2 type music (Unless that's your thing).

A big L-shaped lounge with a bar along the left hand side. Fair choice of real ales and cheap. The lounge on the left hand side is large with comfortable seating but the other side is a bit bare. There was a very loud disco going on during my visit so I didn't stay for a second pint. You get really blasted when you go in the toilets.

ScotchMissed is spot on with the review. Its an OK place for a nibble and a pint at a very competitive price. Don't expect the frills and you won't be disappointed.

Very reminiscent of a Wetherspoons, with a crowd of enthusiastic middle-aged drinkers already well into the swing of things at midday on a Saturday. Cheap food and smiling staff, but not overly impressed with the ale choice (Marstons EPA, St Austell Tribute and one other).

Indifferent staff. Took 20 minutes to serve me, barmaid served several customers who were behind me. Only about 20 people in pub. Beer I asked for was not available. Asked how long it would take to cook food. Barmaid said she did not know probably about 1/2 hour. Took 19 min 46 sec to cook tiny portion of fish & chips. At least meal was cheap.

Rough and dodgy bar which attracts an unpleasant crowd. Indifferent bar staff and the toilets are disgusting. Can't believe that people would want to ever return, let alone eat here.

Cheap food, cheap beer, no atmosphere. Very uninspiring

Another M & B chain pub and as such shares all the good and bad points of the breed. Actually it is almost identical to the one next door but apparently aimed at a younger clietele - hence the extensive cocktail menu and no locks on the toilet doors. Come to think of it - its almost the same as all the other pubs in this part of Eastbourne (or to use it's old Roman name - Wannabebrightonium)
