Baron Cadogan, Caversham

Sometimes atmosphere can be a bit lacking but then it depends on who you go there with. There is almost always a good selection of real ales at reasonable prices. Do try the Cadogan Gold - a beer made for this pub by The Loddon Brewery just three miles away at Dunsden Green.

The food is OK and reasonably priced, currently they have the Curry Club on Thursday - again reasonable may be not the the standard of the local Indian restaurants but this is not an Indian restaurant. I have found the Sunday Club roast dinners to be generally good and very reasonably priced. Tuesday is Steak club - again a good standard.
This being a residential area there is no late licence here - they close at half eleven.
