The Freemasons Arms, Nosterfield
Great place. Step through the door into a dark, yet no the less, very cosy country pub. Low ceilings with wooden, open fire at one end and a stove in the other. Didn't try the food but top marks for the beer!!! Theakstons Best, Taylors Landlord and Black Sheep. All sreved to perfection with the right amount of head and at just the right temp. Great location and very friendly staff. Will be returning soon to sample to food

The Lord Darcy is a very nice quiet local pub. The current managers Chris and Amanda have created to the perfect place for a nice evening whether with friends, partner or family. The television is small and located in a discreet corner so there's no loud or aggressive groups in to watch a match( although the function room has been opened up to cater for the world cup ).
The decor is polished wood, smart, clean but not unwelcoming. They have a large selection of real ale, but for my tastes nearly all of it is Green King Suffolk brews...which I'm not a fan. But Chris knows how to keep a cellar so whatever your poison is it will be served well.
The food is served until 10pm. It's not bad, but could be better. It has an extensive menu but for my tastes, alas, it's still Breaks...but pretty good value for what you're getting. It can get very busy on Sun with their carvary and on Thurs with curry night.
So if you are sick of the noise, crowds and rabble in Chapel Allerton then catch a bus or cab and get to the Lord Darcy

The Slaters Arms, Bradley
Nice old country pub. Friendly owners, good food and a fine selection of beers. What more could you want from a pub? How about a large(ish) beer garden with a great, elevated, view of the Aire valley. Perfect for kicking back on a lazy afternoon...weather permitting...of course.
