The Red Lion, Thurgarton

We go to this local pub on a regular basis and always enjoy the food which is well cooked and presented and served by cheerful and friendly staff. The pub itself is always clean and has a good atmosphere and in the summer we enjoy eating in the large beer garden. The landlord has been there for a good many years (about 20 I think) and so has Jimmy the head chef. We have got to know lots of regulars over the years and some of them travel quite a way to eat there and are never disappointed. Portions are very generous and the prices very reasonable. We have no hesitation in recommending The Red Lion to anyone looking for good food at good value for money.
