Shoulder of Mutton, Middleton Tyas

This pub is under recent new management and is excellent, visited with family after event at ITC catterick and went back the second night with some more people. The food is very good and the chef is excellent, prices are very reasonable. Staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. The beer was good (Black Sheep) and wine a realistic price not like some other pubs. I had the slow roasted belly pork the first night and the special the second (a lamb curry) both were top class. None of us (10) had a bad meal and we all left very happy with full bellies and a reminder of what pubs should be like. I would recommend this pub to anyone who wants a good meal and its just down the road from scotch corner services (less than a mile). A real find, hope they succeed as they deserve it.
