Came here on the recommendation of a friend who had ate here for sunday dinner. We arrived by car ordering drinks from a well stocked bar with 5 real ales and sat in conservatory to study the 'paper' menu. We were very dissapointed to see a menu lacking in no imagination whatsoever. This is a nice little hotel in an upmarket affluent village. I'm a bit unsure if this hotel has just been taken over but there is money to be made here but people do want a good variety of foods but this menu would struggle to even drag the most laziest of cooks out of their homes to eat here with the most imaginative meal being lasagne with frozen garlic bread. My wife did say it was ok myself having sirlion steak with frozen onion rings albiet real chips with a mushroom and grilled tomato, no veg(13.95)with the only sauce to accompany this being tomato. This place really does need a proper chef or people can go and get a far better meal anywhere!

called in on reccomendation of friends. I got mixed grill to eat my wife got tagliatelle and my mother in law got steak. All meals were large, well presented and did include chips made from real potatoes. the meals were all good. Difficult to comment on beers as i was driving but appears to have a good choice. Worth coming here for the food alone which is far better than pub a mile away.

Ate here at weekend. A very friendly nice pub with a good selection of real ales which are not very expensive compared to keswicks pubs. i ordered chicken stuffed with cream cheese and chorizo in a cream sauce(9ish) my wife choosing steak and ale pie both served with fresh veg and chips(frozen) with a portion of home made onion rings. The food was of a high standard except the chips which do appear to be the norm in keswick and surrounding areas having said that we would readily return and would deffinately recommend this little, busy gem.
