The Fox and Goose, Hebden Bridge

I think he was not misled sir, merely honest on the day!
This has been a regular calling place when we are in the hebden area but I found it scruffy, tatty and lacking any warmth last week when we visited.
Sadly my beer was so so (and the bonhomie was affected by what I think semed to the 'bitter' in house shenanigans).
Will come back when its all blown over and hopefully a smooth and pleasant pint can be enjoyed once more. shame as it was a nice pub.

The Hare and Hounds, Hebden Bridge

Timothy Taylors pub with landlord, golden best I think ramtam was the other on. Couple of lagers and a draught cider. Good range of bottled beers too. Had an Excellent pint of Landlord, and the Golden Best my friend had was on top form too.
Pleasant Landlord on duty , busy but polite and acknowledges everycomer.
This is a lovely pub in a hilltop setting, Beer garden has to have some of the best views going. Good pub grub at fantastically low prices. We had a great suasage and mash for aorund �3 each. Does B and B if you get too legless.
Its a good idea to get a ride on the regular bus service uphill from Hebden Bridge and then enjoy a pleasant stroll back down the hill.
We will be back.
