After much research and avoiding the now rather tired and overrated 'Doom Bar' we found this piece of Wadworthshire in the heart of Salisbury. Our visit was on a Saturday lunchtime and although quite quiet however it gave us a chance to talk to the Landlord about his beers and 'The Windmill' on Clapham Common. All in all an excellent way of spending some time. Food requires a mention as it was good wholesale pub fayre with the cheesey chips and bacon a first for us

The nearest thing to my local. Always a good reception with the 'Tribute' being the ale of choice. Nice to get away from the blanket coverage of Hall and Woodhouse
