The Spread Eagle, Camden

Used to frequent this pub a lot on Sunday afternoons to watch the football. It was nice. However recently, though they still show the football, it competes with a live musician and not a very good musician. Has recently replaced Stella Artois with Red Stripe (bad move) and the food is of very plain quality. Will be finding another pub for me Sunday afternoon football/lunch. There's enough of them in Camden!

The Captains Cabin, Piccadilly

This is the pub London forgot. Probably not a bad thing either

The Hand and Racquet, Covent Garden

This pub is a comedy shrine as many Tony Hancock fans would know it's writers used to drink here and incorporated the name of the pub into Hancocks Half Hour.
Though quiet and discreetly hidden from the rest of the West End throng, it sadly has a hygiene problem. Every time I've been in, there's always been quite a few flies knocking about. And the beer always tastes like they haven't cleaned the pipes for months. Shame as this pub, if cared for, could have great potential.
