The Sun Inn, Bethnal Green

Went here for the first time last night. While the ambience and client�le were very pleasant, the night was completely ruined by an aggressive glass collector who threatened to "cut my legs off" when he asked me to move my chair to one side, which I did immediately. Feeling intimidated, I left. Won't be going back.

The Lock Tavern, Camden

I've been here before loads of times and although it's usually full of teenagers I didn't really have much bad to say about it. Until Saturday. I was having a drink, waiting for a friend to arrive. After a half hour or so I get a call from him saying he's outside and that the bouncers are asking for a "local's card" and they won't let him in. I got in with no problem and the pub isn't even particularly busy so refusing entry seems pretty stupid. And he had just come from work so hadn't had a drink all day. Anyway I go and try talking to the bouncers, explaining that the pub really isn;'t very busy and that I've been waiting for said friend for quite a while and what the problem is. What I got was a rude, aggressive and idotic response about it being full to capacity and that he didn't like "the way I was acting" - I left and went elsewhere. Also there's signs saying something along the lines of "This isn't a Weatherspoons so please treat out staff with respect" - this snobbery is ridiculous and the staff appeared disinterested and were very slow. Never again.
