Good pub, nice beer selection, nice tables inside and lovely beer garden outside.
Haven't tried the food, though it smelt lovely when I was there!

The Kent House Tavern, Penge

Hadn't been here for some time, but called in last night with family and friends. Went in public bar, where found helpful staff, decent range of beers and lagers and a most appealing menu. Unfortunately, we had eaten, so weren't up for eating there(though will go back and try that for sure). Barman brought our drinks to the table - which was unusual. Was a Thursday night, no one else in that bar, though others were playing pool or in the other bar.
Favourable impression. Hope other locals will support this place. Clearly the landlord is trying to run a good place, deserves support?

The Black Bull, Fyfield

Nice pub, bigger than its near neighbour the Queen's Head. Serves really good food - specialises in fish dishes which are great, but the non-fish are fine too. Beer garden looking out over fields. Good selection of real beers. Is also good in winter with real fires burning.
