| Council wont re-issue licence due to hidden surveilance a few weeks before last tennant was chucked out. Enterprise inns are stuck now and will be having to sell it or demolish it. They should sack the person who made it lose its license forever. The licence was only objected to and then refused hands down in the last meeting when the council found out Tony Spud who just got thrown out of The Mitre in Anerley was going to be running it. Enterprise told the council a suitable, experienced and strong licensee was going to be taking it on. So when they got the paperwork submitted it was obvious they were not taking the council seriously. Always been a rowdy pub and a place for dealers to meet. | Anyone know what has happened to this pub? Bromley Council (correctly) reviewed it's licence in January due to the anti social and public disorder issues the pub was inflicting on the area. It closed in early January with notices in the door saying it would open again on 29 January. It's now 15 Feb and it is still closed, with no sign that any work has been done on it to improve its dirty and shabby appearance. Has the brewery given up on it? Patran - 15 Feb 2013 23:51 |
