SNAFU, Rotherham

SNAFU rose out of the ashes of The Old Monk and before that the last department store in Rotherham - Muntus. It was simple - it provided a place with decent beer, decent cocktails, and decent music. It delivered very well and continues to do so. Loud music at the weekends, largely with decent bands, and lovingly-crafted cocktails (the bar staff really like to make cocktails!) make this place stand out. At one point I nearly thought this was a pub to move back to Rotherham to be nearer, so it must be good!

The New Broom, Rotherham

This is a Sam Smith's pub which has a strange history. It's gone from being a toilet to being and old mans pub and various iterations in between. Right now it's actually a half-decent boozer for a change, and is a Sam Smith's pub to boot. The building itself is nice and boasts a large car park and several areas internally. It's nice to see the Broom doing so well, to be honest.
