The Burtle Inn, Burtle

I keep tryig to give this pub the benefit of the doubt as its really quite nice inside... log fire, cosy etc... but the truth is, the food is AWFUL and everything VERY EXPENSIVE !! Sunday carvery last week - appalling. At around �15 for 2 courses you expect something edible in this area (back of beyond !!) The meat is ok, the veg terrible. Overcooked and lack of choice, and the sweet trolley, well, I would not feed it to my dog (and he eats anything!) The other (many) menus offer a vast array of dishes, and I have never experienced an edible one. Cheerful services from the kids.
