The Old Original, Scouthead

Booked a table and the pub booked us in on the wrong day!!! 'Squeezed' us in, then less than two hours later when we hadn't finished our meal told us they wanted the table back in 5 mins!!! Good service, I think not! When challenged the Landlord was very unsympathetic and said we could pay him �15 a head to keep the table all night?! I think we'd spent more than enough if this was his attitude! Apparently all bookings made before 8pm only have a table for 2hrs- and are you told this when you book a table? Well we certainly weren't. Spoiled the celebration of my sister's birthday and engagement, will not be recommending or returning. Although you do seem to get reasonable treatment if you're a regular, but as to new business- don't seem to give a stuff. Will be booking at the Roebuck next time.
