Halfway House, Pontllanfraith

Recently had a meal here with a party of ten. The meals were substantial, the gammon was so salty it was burning your throat. Bar staff left a lot to be desired, had about as much personality as Saddam Hussein.

Maenllwyd Inn, Rudry

Visited this pub on Monday 14th April, had to wait for a table.There were eight of us in the party and the meals we had were excellent. It was well worth the wait. Service was excellent and there was a good selection of real ales. I did note however that no bar tariff was displayed which is against the law. All in all a good pub well worth a visit.
