All style, no substance.

On the strength of a pleasant hour supping London Pride on a Sunday lunchtime, we booked
to come back the following week for lunch.

Quite possibly the worst pub lunch I have had in recent years. Admittedly it was from the dreaded carvery, but my wife's salad wasn't, and what wasn't limp and lifeless was brown and mouldy.

Poor quality and expensive to boot.

The Windmill, Moorgate

I spent too long working in this area, and at least The Windmill offered some sanctuary from the braying chinless wonders and charmless barrow boys of the city.
Suggest if you can't handle a real pub then stick to the All Bar One's and the other McDonalds-style cafe-bars of this locale.
I would award 7, but they gain an extra point for authenticity.
