The Tollhouse Inn, Lymington

So, here's what happened about a week ago. I go to the Toll House for a quiet Xmas drink with friends who live nearby. Nice looking place, we noted the 'new management' sign when we went in. We were surprised to see some very young children running around, several of whom were drinking Red Bull, not really suitable for kids. We settle down with our drinks but at a certain point the landllady (manager?) with a very strident voice starts kicking off at a customer at the bar who has obviously mentioned something about children in the pub. We try to ignore her (difficult, she has a real conversation-stopper voice) but we managed for a while until some other gents entered and after talking to the landlady she kicked off yet again - something about a bill for work done not presented correctly - anyway, it's not my business but my point is why make such a big show in front of paying customers? Needless to say we will be thinking twice before being subjected to another embarrassing spectacle again - don't wash your dirty linen in public, I would have expected at least some diplomacy and decorum.
