Washford Mill, Studley

my family 6 adults and 3 children went the the Old Washford Mill, Redditch for a family birthday meal. We arrived at 12.50 and were shown to our table. another party of 4 adults and one child were shown to their table near to us 10 mins after us. there orders were taken before ours we had to ask someone to come and take our order. we later had to catch a member of staff to take our sweet order and at 2.55 two hours after we arrived we were still waiting. We had had enough, they were short staffed and the waitress was doing the bar, taking orders, waitressing and doing the bills. It was crazy. We decided we had been there long enough and asked for our bill and told them to cancel the puddings, which disappointed the children. we loved the food but were very disappointed with the service and the fact that we were doing the organising eg. asking for service all the time. we were told sorry when we asked for the bill but at no point were we offered any compensation by way of a discount or free drink and feel that if they want people to frequent the premises a lot of organisation needs to be addressed at this establisment. we only had the carvery, which was very nice but cannot obviously comment on the main meal service.
