Sam Wellers, Bath

Visited on 27 November. Excellent food (very large helpings) and well-kept beer. My great-great uncle was landlord here from 1906 (when it was the Full Moon) until his death in WWI at Ypres in 1914. His brother, and then his brother's widow, carried on running the pub until at least 1931.

The Rising Sun, Bath

I hoped to visit this pub last weekend when in Bath, but it was closed for refurbishment. A shame, because two of my great-great uncles were landlords here from 1902-06. They subsequently ran the Full Moon (now Sam Weller's).
