The Hunter's Inn, Parracombe

Visited the Hunters Inn on several occasions this year, food has always been excellent, as has the range and quality of ales.
I have spoken to the landlord about the Inn, apparently they purchased the Inn 3 years ago, living locally they had always found the Inn closed and failing fast.
The building has obviously had a lot of money spent on it in the last few years, but still needs more.
The Inn is a true local pub with lots of intresting characters at the bar.
I have always been made to feel very welcome by all the staff, often descending on them with 3 children and a dog in tow!
The beer has always been superb, the food has been some of the best i've found in North Devon
At times the Inn can be very busy (Easter, August Bank holidays); however i've never waited more than 35minutes for my food.
The Inn could do with a bigger bar as there is obviously only room for 2 people to work behind it, but the landlord has plans to increase the size of the bar.
The Loos were very clean if not a bit tired, apparently they havebeen waiting for planning consent for an extension for more toilet capacity.
Strongly recommend and can't wait for the next beer festival next September
