The Wildebeest Arms, Stoke Holy Cross

Gastro pub serving fancy food. Last time we were there our night was spoilt by a pair of creepy middle aged swingers grabbing their groins and making pervy gestures towards us. Not the pub's fault, I know, I guess it's just Norfolk.

The Ginger Pig, Hove

I can't see how this pub gets such a low average rating. I agree that it's not a 'drinkers' pub or a ' community' pub but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Most pubs that fit into those boxes are cliquey, unfriendly, shit tips. At least the Ginger Pig is clean, looked after, serves some good spirits that you don't see in any old boozer and the staff seem friendly and literate. They do some good cocktails and there's a decent wine list and the lager doesn't taste like someone's farted into it before selling it to you. It's more a pub for couples, young professionals and quiet types rather than for cocaine addicted, debt ridden plasterers and aggressive roofer types with their children's names tattooed all over their arms.

The Cliftonville Inn, Hove

Never actually been in for a drink but whenever I've walked past it seems there is always a bunch of old blokes with noses like Alex Ferguson putting the world to rights and singing incoherently.
