The Unicorn, Ambleside

I have been going to Ambleside for many years now and our recent visit was just a wonderful as on previous occasions.....apart from our visit to a pub we have never visited before and certainly wont be going back to !!!!
We went as entertainment had been advertised there on Thursday evenings....
We sat and had a drink of the local beer , sat and listened to the 'entertainment'. He was without a doubt the most boring singer I have ever witnessed. And when it came to the end of the night we were left in darkness to finish our drinks at 11.05pm !!!
So my advise is dont ruin your lake district break , go to the Sportsman / Golden Rule or White Lion instead ... you wont go wrong !!!
