The Dartmoor Halfway House, Bickington

Friendly pub with great, good value food. Not a proper old boozer as food takes up most of the pub. Good for families and a camp site/caravan park attached.

Rose Street Brewery, Edinburgh

Great pub to sit outside and people watch in the summer (if you can get a table) also has plenty of charm in the winter with low ceilings and dark wood abounding. Standard beer selection and good haggis, neeps and tatties. Considering it is a tourist pub it still has a certain charm
