The Tartar Frigate, Broadstairs
Very inviting 18th century pub, just a stones throw away from the beach / harbour. As far as I'm aware, this pub does not have a garden but during the summer months you can take your drink and sit on the beach or harbour (bar staff will obviously provide plastics). The inside of the pub is very warm and welcoming, and during the winter months, there is always a log fire on the go!. Last time I visited the pub on a Sunday lunchtime, there were so many roast potatoes, sausages, cheese chunks etc up at the bar, I didn't need to eat again until later in the evening!. There is a seafood restuarant attached to this pub, it also provides many other dishes (I haven't yet sampled the food). I visit this pub everytime I go to Broadstairs

A lovely peaceful country pub with delicious home cooked food and a beautiful beer garden by a stream. Have been here on numerous occasions with family and sampled various yummy dishes. Staff are always very friendly

Old City Bar, Canterbury
I used to visit this pub on a regular basis, straight after work on a Friday night. Appears to be a popular 'after work' pub, always busy at that time - good atmosphere. Classy bar, conservatory with pool table and a lovely beer garden. Plenty of seating area in this pub, including sofas. During the summer months, BBQ's are held in the garden as well as other garden activities, table tennis, football table etc. TV's in the pub for sports fans. Have only eaten here once, a delicious steak lunch on a Saturday afternoon
