The Swan on the Green, West Peckham

All very pleasant surroundings both inside and on the village green. Own brew ales - tried the Trumpeter fine. Good food - I had the mixed ploughmans - good ham and 3 tasty cheeses. The only downside is you pay for quality food 10.50 for the ploughmans which wasn't a huge portion, just tasty. Beer prices reasonable though - 2.70 for the trumpeter. Recommended

The Nightingale, Balham

Youngs pub that fortunately has been left untouched. Fine pint in convivial atmosphere. Had several before having a curry next door.

The Leather Bottle, Earlsfield

This is no longer a pub but an overprices Youngs eaterie. Most of the space is devoted to serving food to parrallel lines of tables in the garden. The Youngs was far too cold so we sat in the sun at the front away from the clatter of cutlery although odd tables there. Did not have the food but similar (overpriced) menu to the Pied Bull
