The Duck On The Pond, South Newington

Was looking for somewhere for an evening meal and called into this place as we passed. As we browsed the menus near the door we were promptly told that the kitchen couldn't cope with any more orders and that we wouldn't be able to eat. Looking around, the place wasn't even at full capacity.

Disgusting how this place would turn away paying customers - my mate has worked in several pub/restaurants and has said that they'd never turn away customers, no matter how busy they were.

Instead we called in at the Red Lion in Bloxham and had a beautiful meal for a much cheaper price than the ones on the Duck on the Pond's menu. It also had a much nicer beer garden overlooking the river. So all worked out well for us.

Avoid Duck on The Pond as they don't value custom.
