The Board Inn, Whitby

Had a pint of Old Peculier here after visiting the abbey. Interesting decor and a tad touristy but it was a good pint and they had some quality old music. Recommend.

Clarks Bar, Edinburgh

A very old fashioned place full of character. as previous posters have said. Had a good pint of the Belhaven Festival Ale here yesterday. It was quiet but I liked it a lot. Smashing fish and chip place round the corner too.

George and Dragon Inn, Clifton

Poshest pub I've ever been in- I'm surprised they let me in. I think it's because the owners of Askham Hall also own the pub. The beer was good though- barman served me an IPA straight from the barrel which was very pleasant. Clifton is a nice wee village with some interesting historical sites.
