The Tigers Head, Chislehurst

Like the previous poster, I was also told a new chef had started at Tigers who had been asked to join the team from a michellin star restaurant. All I can say is it is fairly obvious why this chef is no longer at that kitchen as the food standard has plummeted over the last few weeks. What I cannot fathom is why Tigers wanted him. About the mid section of last year food went throguh a dodgy phase, then picked up well, with a consistant good standard from about October. for a while food, ales and staff were all great.
It is such a shame food has become so poor as the ales are still excellent, and with the exception of one barman with a severe attitude problem (I have seen him totally ignore a customer if it is someone he does not wish to serve), staff are friendly and knowledgable. I would have rated this a 9 back in march, now a dodgy 5
