I came here 12th July 2011, and I must say, this is the worst excuse for a pub I have ever had the misfortune of drinking in. Why you may ask?
Well, first of all the beer (London Pride) was off, and served with very large head, which I must say they were efficient in replacing the pint with one of Young's Summer Gold. The Young's was however also on the way out, with a distinctive twinge of line cleaner. The head was around three fingers deep, and on request of a top up, the bar girl claimed it was 'Just that sort of beer'. Wrong. If it were a Belgian beer for example, it would be 'that sort of beer', but an English ale, with a head that large, just no. No.
I would not recommend this pub to any person. Not even to a fan of dreadfully kept Wetherspoon's beers (which Wetherspoons do a far better job of keeping their ales, despite being over a pound cheaper per pint than this dire establishment).
Simply put, the worst pub I have ever been to.

The Champion of the Thames, Cambridge
A top notch pub, one of the best in Cambridge. Well worth a visit if not for the seriously good ales then for the proper pub nature of the place.

Ye Olde Swan Inn, Thames Ditton
The ale was terribly kept - I have never drunk ale that was so sour and acidic. The bar staff were incredibly reluctant to replace the pint, and even then, the replacement was definitely on the way out.
The management have really let the place go. The food is really very pleasant, but the beer - the former biggest attraction of this pub - is truly disappointing.
I cannot recommend this establishment. Walk to the George and Dragon for really lovely staff and much more acceptable beverages.
